Our dishwasher from HoTrec at Hotel Hartness, Rafael, has worked with our team since February 2024. The management team as well as crewmembers have all passed along compliments of a job well done.

The Stewarding Supervisor shared the following:

“Rafael joins us regularly in the dish kitchens here at Hotel Hartness, with most of his time being spent in the dish kitchen of Patterson. The stewarding and culinary teams often request him specifically, and sometimes they cheer when he walks into the room. He does whatever is asked of him, and he does it with a smile. Rafi is consistently on time and always goes above and beyond expectations. If he sees a task that needs to be done, he simply does it, he does not wait to be asked. If he sees a way that he can help lessen the load for a coworker, he does so without hesitation. Knowing that Rafi is part of our team gives all of us here at Hotel Hartness a reason to be grateful! We appreciate him for his work ethic, his kindness, his consideration, his laugh and comradery!”

I am the Executive Housekeeper for Embassy Suites in Huntsville, Alabama and I have been working with Gissella Barney and HoTrec for over two years. Gissella is absolutely amazing and I want everyone to know how hard she works. I have watched my team rally around Gissella and the support she provides. I do not know what I would do without her. The simple things like helping me translate messages or notices is great but we are in constant communication and she makes sure the team is okay and everything is handled every day. If I have a need in my department or any other department in my hotel, I know I can call Gissella and she will help me. She treats not only the employees through HoTrec but everyone with respect and dignity. She should be making your training material for recruiters. I do not like calling her a “recruiter” simply because she goes above and beyond that title every day.

Our housekeeping associates, the work ethic on our team is AMAZING. From each of my mini departments (housekeepers, houseman, public space and laundry) they are all such hard-working employees. A few of them are what I call my “core” and have been with me since my start in housekeeping. Elizabeth, Viriginia, Josefina, Kenia, and Omar are my core, words cannot describe my gratitude for their hard work and positive attitudes. If any issues arise, Gissella and I work together to make sure that the team is the best they can be. Our team has celebrated promotions, birthdays, new babies, marriages, and holidays together, when we work this hard, we celebrate whenever we can. We have jumped in our scores and the cleanliness levels, in a hotel that just started a renovation after 20 years, scores have gone up and we have reached scores that are higher than they were pre-COVID.

Any hotel or property that is looking into the possibility of using HoTrec, not only do I recommend it, I urge it. Our society is in an adjustment period after COVID and finding good employees who want to work can be difficult but with HoTrec, you will get a staff that you can count on, that does the work that needs to be done, and with a smile on their faces. Over the years, I have become well acquainted with many of the members of my team and I cannot stress enough, I do not know where I would be without them or HoTrec!
